Project DREAM (Drama, Reading, Education, Art and Music), a program created and sponsored by the Harold S. Campbell Foundation hosted its Library Camp at Miller Heights Elementary in the Bethlehem Area School District.

Twenty six children spend a week in the Catch the Reading Bug library Exploration Camp. Children explore the library and literature through storytelling, audience participation activities, finger plays and story-based crafts. The Library Exploration Camp creates excitement in children to further pursue books and reading at home and at the public library.
The Harold S. Campbell Foundation created the DREAM project to enhance education through the arts to improve the lives of children in Lehigh Valley schools and surrounding communities.

The camp is based on at “Reading Bug” theme. Children are exposed to different genres (poetry, non-fiction, mystery, realistic fiction). Each day the literature, activities, crafts and the “make and eat snack”, will center on a different bug. Students will take home their literature-based craft and a featured book to read and share after their day at the library camp.
